And if we retreat now, the meanies win. I found this book enjoyable but at times tedious. I could quote this book like mad — and, let’s face it, I have and will continue to do so. Or at least, how devilishly tricky it can be. It also proves my oft stated comment, “English is the language from Hell. While I did appreciate the bottom-line messages of her book trust yourself, and a lot of the time there is no single right answershe didn’t really provide a lot of learning or demonstrate any particular knowledge.
I’m so certain the people who read this book will enjoy it that I recommend it to everyone who writes anything. More, what you ma Grammar nazis, snobs, meanies- call them whatever you like- June Casagrande made sure to paint a picture of a bunch of conservative people with probably broomsticks stuck up their asses. It was only partly true.
Inserting humor into the rules of grammar was a stroke of genius. It’s easy to look something up, to find out what all those others will say, and maybe get a chuckle in the process. Grammar Snobs is probably the funniest grammar book available. I found myself biy with the author on just one specific point: If they tell you otherwise, they’re bluffing.

I will be referring back to this little book often. Author June Casagrande covers pronoun agreement, commas, and lots of common errors.
